Sulfamic acid is used as herbicide, fireproof agent, cleaning agent for metals and ceramics, softener and bleaching agent for paper and textiles, catalyst for synthesizing urea-formaldehyde resin, nitrile remover in the production of azo dyes, and used as a stabilizer for chlorinated and bleached liquids in swimming pools.
