Furfural production technology of furfural corn cob
I. Overview
Plant fiber raw materials rich in pentosan (such as corn cob, peanut shell, cottonseed shell, rice husk, wood chips, cotton wood, etc.) are hydrolyzed to pentose under a certain temperature and catalyst, and the pentose removes three water molecules to form furfural.
The commonly used raw material is corncob, and qualified furfural is obtained through purification, crushing, acid mixing, hydrolysis, crude distillation, neutralization, dehydration and refining processes.
The "waste residue" is sent to the boiler for combustion, and the ash residue can be used as a filler material for construction or organic fertilizer; "Waste steam" is treated by condensation and adsorption of water film. The "waste water" is recycled through a wastewater evaporation system.
