XPE Chemical Cross-linked Polyethylene Foamed Sheet Production Line

XPE chemical cross-linked polyethylene foam material is mainly made from low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), with the addition of various chemical raw materials such as foaming agent AC. After mixing, processing and molding, peroxide cross-linking agent is added to the raw materials. This is a high-end closed-cell foam material produced through a series of processing techniques such as cross-linking reaction, foaming, shaping and post-treatment, which features excellent physical and mechanical properties, beautiful appearance, comfortable hand feel and good hot workability.

XPE, or chemically cross-linked polyethylene foam material, is made by continuously foaming low-density polyethylene resin with cross-linking agents and foaming agents at high temperatures. Compared with other foaming materials, it has higher tensile strength and finer cell structure. IXPE, or radiation cross-linked polyethylene foam, is mainly made from polyethylene, which is mixed with foaming agents and other additives to form a masterbatch. It is then irradiated by a high-energy electron beam generated by an industrial electron accelerator to produce cross-linking (thus different from traditional chemical cross-linking), thereby altering the molecular structure of polyethylene into a tight three-dimensional network structure. The environmentally friendly closed-cell foam material produced through a series of processing procedures such as free foaming, shaping, cooling and winding. XPE/IXPE foamed products, due to the main gas contained in the material being nitrogen, are non-toxic to the human body and do not pollute the atmosphere. They are recognized worldwide as environmentally friendly materials. The internal structure is a uniformly distributed closed-cell structure, making them ideal materials for insulation in automobiles and air conditioners. In recent years, it has developed rapidly in the sports and leisure products market, such as surfboards, moisture-proof MATS, yoga MATS, etc. It also has certain uses in construction and is more widely applied in flame-retardant materials.
