I. Project overview
Project introduction: This project is a magnesium metal plant with an annual output of 6000 tons in Iran. Our company is responsible for the process design, equipment supply, installation and commissioning of the whole plant. After the completion of the magnesium plant, it will become the largest metal magnesium production and supply base in Iran, helping the Belt and Road to achieve common development.

The project adopts the principle of Pijiang magnesium smelting process, which takes calcined dolomite as raw material, ferrosilicon as reducing agent, fluorite as catalyst, and dosing. After grinding, press into balls, called pellets. The pellets are placed in a reduction tank, heated to 1200 ° C and vacuumed internally to 13.3Pa or higher to produce magnesium vapor. The magnesium vapor forms crystalline magnesium, also known as coarse magnesium, in the condenser at the front of the reduction tank. After solvent refining, commercial magnesium ingot is produced, that is, refined magnesium.
II. Solution
Pijiang process magnesium production process
(1) Dolomite calcination: the dolomite is heated to 1100 ~ 1200℃ in a rotary kiln and burned into calcined white (MgO • CaO).
(2) batching ball: the calcined white, ferrosilicon powder and fluorite powder are measured and batched, pulverized, and then pressed into balls.
(3) Reduction: the ball is heated in the reduction tank to 1200±10 ° C, under 13.3Pa or higher vacuum conditions, maintained for 8 to 10 hours, magnesium oxide is reduced into magnesium vapor, and it becomes crude magnesium after condensation.
(4) Refined ingot: the crude magnesium is heated and melted, at a high temperature of about 710 ° C, after refining with solvent, magnesium ingot is cast, also known as refined magnesium.
