For every 10,000 tons of electrolytic aluminum produced, 20-40 tons of large-scale waste residues and over 3 million tons of aluminum slag are generated. The traditional landfill disposal method not only occupies a large amount of land resources but also poses risks such as heavy metal leakage and environmental pollution. Moreover, some of the existing recycling technologies are inefficient, have high energy consumption and low product value, and cannot meet the requirements of modern industrial green development.

Based on its solid background in equipment research and development, Zhengmin Machinery innovatively proposed the process of "co-sintering of large-scale waste slag and aluminum ash to produce refined slag", achieving the transformation from "treating waste as waste" to "transforming waste into treasure". This technology not only effectively solves the problem of handling hazardous waste, but also can produce high-quality refined slag products that meet market demands.

Technical process: Three steps to solve the hazardous waste problem

I. Precise Pre-treatment System: Through multi-stage crushing and ball milling techniques, the aluminum waste and scrap materials are transformed into finer powders with higher reactivity; the cathode carbon blocks are crushed to a specific size and used as an effective fuel substitute; limestone undergoes pre-activation treatment to enhance its performance.

II. Dynamic Homogeneous Mixing: Utilizing an intelligent batching system to optimize the ratio, ensuring that the solidification rate of harmful substances exceeds 99%, while guaranteeing that the uniformity of material mixing reaches above 100 mesh.

III. High-temperature Reformation of Rotary Kiln: In the high-temperature rotary kiln independently developed by Zhengmin Machinery, the de-toxification, melting and cooling processes are completed by temperature control, resulting in refined slag with excellent properties.

Core technological advantages: Four breakthroughs leading industry transformation

Our company's technology not only completely solved the pollution problem of hazardous waste, but also significantly reduced energy consumption and enhanced the market value of the products. Particularly, the refined slag produced has an Al₂O₃ content of up to 35%, which can significantly improve the efficiency of steel smelting.

Complete disposal of hazardous waste: At a high temperature of 1100℃, the cyanide is completely decomposed (decomposition rate > 99.9%), and fluorine is solidified in the form of fluorite (CaF₂), with the leaching toxicity being less than 1.5mg/L, which is much lower than the national standard (10mg/L).

Energy self-sufficiency cycle: The slag cathode carbon blocks from major maintenance provide 60% of the required heat value for the kiln, reducing natural gas consumption; the waste heat power generation system recovers the heat from the flue gas, and the total energy consumption per ton of slag is only 120 kWh.

Product value enhancement: The refined slag produced meets the YB/T 4068-2015 standard, with an Al₂O₃ content of ≥ 35%. When used in steel mills, it can shorten the refining time by 20% and reduce the steel consumption by 8 kg per ton.

Intelligent equipment support: Our rotary kiln for calcination is equipped with a temperature control system, and the emission rate of fluorides is less than 0.1%. The design enables the rapid commissioning of a 10,000-ton project within 90 days.
